I am a PhD candidate in Hispanic & Lusophone Linguistics at the Ohio State University. I specialize in socio-cultural linguistics and phonetics/phonology, specifically in Caribbean Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. I received my MA in Linguistics from the Universidad de Puerto Rico-Río Piedras. My research combines methodologies and frameworks from linguistic anthropology, ethnography, quantitative variationist linguistics, sociophonetics, and discourse analysis. I have performed extensive fieldwork in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Brazil.
I am also the lab manager for the Sociolinguistics Lab at OSU.
